I enjoyed the Easter/Resurrection weekend so much. What a precious thing it is to gather with a group of the LORD's own people and remember His work on the cross for each who has 'received' Him as their Savior. My favorite 'old' Resurrection hymn is "Low in the Grave He Lay'. I have been thinking about the Messianic Psalm - 40 this past week. And ohhhh how those words from that hymn touched my heart yesterday......"up from the grave HE arose.....with a mighty triumph o're His foes. HE arose a VICTOR from the dark domain, and HE lives FOREVER with HIS saints to reign....
He arose,
HE arose.....
Hallelujah....CHRIST AROSE!!"

I do have a 'newer' Resurrection hymn, "See, What a Morning" that is becoming a fast favorite. The words ....." See God's salvation plan, Wrought in love, borne in pain, paid in sacrifice", speak so truthfully of the Father's plan. I wish you could hear the tune. Its a lovely song by Keith Getty & Stuart Townend. Keith's wife Kristin sings it so beautifully.
You can see more of their hymns here and perhaps even download some of them to enjoy yourself.

What is your favorite Resurrection hymn or song?

See, what a morning, gloriously bright,
With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem;
Folded the grave-clothes, tomb filled with light,
As the angels announce, "Christ is risen!"
See God's salvation plan,
Wrought in love, borne in pain, paid in sacrifice,
Fulfilled in Christ, the Man,
For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead!

See Mary weeping, "Where is He laid?"
As in sorrow she turns from the empty tomb;
Hears a voice speaking, calling her name;
It's the Master, the Lord raised to life again!
The voice that spans the years,
Speaking life, stirring hope, bringing peace to us,
Will sound till He appears,
For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead!

One with the Father, Ancient of Days,
Through the Spirit who clothes faith with certainty.
Honor and blessing, glory and praise
To the King crowned with pow'r and authority!
And we are raised with Him,
Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered;
And we shall reign with Him,
For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead!
